Barbara
Dunning has been attracted to animals all her life. With an affinity toward all
creatures, her companions over the years include goldfish, turtles, parakeets,
dogs and cats. She knew from a child living in Chicago that her life would
involve important work with animals, but the time wasn't right until later.
The last several years had been spent working for large corporations, then going
into business with her husband, co-founding a direct marketing firm, serving as
its Executive Vice President. Though it paid the bills, this work never
fulfilled her need to help animals.
The right time came along when recalling the inspiration she received from her
first TTouch book. Now it seemed natural to commit to a future in the Tellington
TTouch Method®, which has motivated her ever since. So Barbara
started her company, PETential Paths L.L.C., to help people and their animals by
enhancing the quality of their companionship.
Residing in Cave Creek, Arizona, with her husband, Jack, and three rescue
kitties, Barbara is a Guild-Certified Tellington TTouch Practitioner for
Companion Animals.

Testimonials
"Barbara has spent hundreds of volunteer hours working with the rescue cats and dogs from Foothills Animal Rescue. Her healing touch works wonders with the traumatized animals that have been abandoned or abused. She calms them and reassures them that they are now safe and loved. I've seen Barbara work patiently for weeks to ensure that an animal feels secure."-Becky Didier, Director, F.A.R., Cave Creek, AZ
"I
have a new cat! I have a cat that is 17 years old, but she acts, and I am sure
she feels, like a new cat. Before Barbara visited Fatters, she slept a lot, did
not come to sleep in our bed any longer, and when she did move it looked
painful. Since Barbara has been visiting our baby she is a new cat!! Fatters
talks all the time like she used to. She is up at least 3 times as much as she
used to be. She also comes to bed to sleep with us again just like old times!!
We could not be happier with Barbara and her wonderful loving care with our
baby."-J.H., Cave Creek AZ
"Dear Barbara, I want to thank you for working with Prince (timid kitty). I have to let you know that there has been a big change in his personality for the good. We had six people over … and he first went in our bedroom to hide, then within ten minutes he was out being friendly with everyone. We both want to thank you very much."

"My three dogs, Bear, Moose and Sheba, are grateful to Barbara for the help she has given them through her TTouch skills. Because of a bad fight between Bear and Moose (needing veterinary care), probably caused by a new foster dog upsetting our household, we decided to take it to a new foster home. However, the "spats" continued, so we made an appointment with Barbara to see if she could lend a hand. After she worked with the dogs, they became calmer and more confident of their places in the household. They are living together in harmony once again. During this time, our Sheba, being rather timid of strangers, touched Barb's heart and she did some TTouch work on her, too, and Sheba turned out to be more outgoing and relaxed. Our family is very pleased with Barbara and TTouch."

"I noticed an immediate improvement in my cat's behavior: more relaxed, more affectionate (she loves to be TTouched). And the house soiling was dramatically reduced after just three sessions."

"Just wanted to share an encouraging update about Reenie and how
TTouch has changed our lives!! Apart from two "accidents," Reenie has been
consistently using her litter box now that I have made and kept the change of
lining the boxes with puppy pads and just a sprinkle of litter. I change them as
soon as they are soiled and everyone is happy! In addition, Reenie, has become
much more tolerant of being held. The other night I picked her up to put her on
the bed before I lay down to sleep and she didn't meow in anxious protest (a
first in all the years that we have had her). I pointed it out to my husband who
was a bit skeptical that it was a sign of real improvement. So we tested it....I
picked her up again, and again she remained calm and content. But the most
remarkable milestone...Reenie trying to TTouch me!! I was getting into bed and
Reenie, as usual jumped up to join me. This particular night I was having a bit
of a row with my husband (which probably caused her some tension). I put my head
down on the pillow and Reenie started to vigorously lick me right above my ear.
I remarked to my husband "Reenie knows I'm upset and is trying to do ear slides
to calm me down...we better stop arguing!” Amazing how tension can manifest
itself in behaviors which cause additional tension...it seems to be true for
people and animals as well. One negative behavior is just a piece in the
puzzle...and we are all responsible for taking care of our piece if we want a
negative situation to improve.
In gratitude for your expertise and compassion."
